German shopping channel pearl.tv Ultra HD will be launched in September 2015

LUXEMBOURG, 20 May 2015 -- SES (NYSE Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) announced today that it will be broadcasting Europe's first free-to-air Ultra HD channel via Astra 19.2 degrees East. The German shopping channel, pearl.tv, will be produced and broadcast in native Ultra HD as of September 2015.

Sky in Germany to air Champions League final in UHD
June 1, 2015

Sky in Germany is due to run an Ultra High Definition (UHD) broadcast trial of the UEFA Champions League final this weekend.



Sky will air the Juventus vs. Barcelona football final in UHD quality in 13 selected Sky Sports Bars in Germany,
following a successful UHD live broadcast of the DFB-Pokal football cup final in the same locations.

The sports bars have been fitted with several UHD televisions in 65 and 78 inches, and can receive a corresponding Ultra HD signal from Sky.

In May, Sky Deutschland claimed to have done a world first by broadcasting a Bundesliga football match between
Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen live over satellite in Ultra HD with 50 frames per second – encoded with the new HEVC standard.

Luxembourg/ Paris, 4 June 2015 – SES S.A. (NYSE Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) announced today that CANAL + Group will test-broadcast the Final of the Champions League match FC Barcelona - Juventus produced by UEFA in Ultra High Definition on ASTRA. The experimental transmission will be made from the ASTRA prime orbital position 19.2 degrees East and is part of technical tests conducted since last year by CANAL+ Group over the entire technical chain and in collaboration with all industry players.

"The live test transmission of a prominent soccer match in Ultra HD will mark another step in the introduction of this new technology," said Ferdinand Kayser, Chief Commercial Officer of SES. "Since last year, we have conducted and successfully completed a series of test transmissions that encourage us to continue to work with customers and industry partners on the entire ecosystem necessary for a broad acceptance of Ultra HD."

The match takes place on Saturday, 6 June at 21.00 in Berlin.

Need testid võivad ju isegi FTA olla, aga kui midagi korralikku tuleb nagu oli see Juventus vs. Barcelona UEFA tsempionide liiga finaal...
... siis see HEVC oli nii sakslastel, kui ka prantslastel, kui ka hispaanlastel, kodeeritud Nagravision 3-ega.

tõmbasin cyberlink hevc dekoodri ja video optionsi alt suurendasin bufferit 72 MB-ni ning aspect ratio muutsin 4:3 (muidu jooksis DD v2.7kokku)

"Триколор ТВ" поддерживает статус инноватора в области спутникового телевизионного вещания и высоких технологий.
12 июня, в день национального праздника, на первом в России телеканале сверхвысокой четкости, входящем в сеть
крупнейшего российского оператора цифрового телевидения, состоится трансляция записи Парада Победы в формате Ultra HD.
Трансляция события такого масштаба проводится в Россие впервые.

Трансляция начнется в 20:00 по московскому времени.
Съемка Парада Победы на Красной площади 9 мая 2015 года велась операторской группой "Первого канала" с нескольких точек,
с участием двенадцати 4K-камер. Это первый в России опыт сложной многокамерной съемки в формате UltraHD.

Трансляция проводится "Триколор ТВ" в сотрудничестве с Eutelsat Communications — ведущим оператором спутниковой связи в Европе,
входящим в тройку мировых лидеров.

Парад Победы в формате Ultra HD будет транслироваться в разрешении 3840×2160 пикселей ( 4K) со скоростью передачи изображения
50 кадров в секунду. Для просмотра телеканала необходимы телевизор с маркетинговым кодом Ultra HD, а также оборудование,
принимающее сигнал со спутников Eutelsat 36A/Eutelsat 36B.
Для сжатия цифрового видеосигнала используется новейший стандарт кодирования HEVC/H.265.
