World Championship leaders TOYOTA Racing and the #7 TS040 HYBRID took pole position for the 82nd Le Mans 24 Hours at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
Kazuki Nakajima, who shares the #7 with Alex Wurz and Stéphane Sarrazin, became the first Japanese driver to earn the honour with a lap of 3mins 21.789secs, which also marked TOYOTA’s second pole position at Le Mans.

The #8 car of Anthony Davidson, Nicolas Lapierre and Sébastien Buemi will start Saturday’s race from third on the grid.

Despite a 25% reduction in fuel consumption, the efficient 1000PS TOYOTA HYBRID System – Racing powertrain helped TOYOTA Racing record a 0.557secs improvement on last year’s pole position time of 3min 22.346secs.

New residential communities in Beijing will have to install power-charging posts for 18% of their parking units, as well as a power supply source, according to a new Beijing government plan aiming to popularize use of electric cars and combat smog.
The plan, dubbed Enforcement Rules for Power-Charging Facilities for New-Energy Passenger Cars in Beijing, calls for the installation of 1,000 rapid DC electricity charging posts this year. The city government is expected to install 100 public rapid power-charging facilities in the first half of the year.

A lack of charging posts is one of the main reasons for the wait-and-see attitude among Beijing citizens in purchasing pure electric cars.

ABC Raisiossa, Aurassa ja Tammisillassa otetaan torstaina 5.6.2014 käyttöön sähköautojen pikalatauspisteet.

- Sähköauton luontevin käyttöympäristö on kaupungeissa, mutta sähköauton hankintaa pohtivalle on tärkeää, että autoa voi käyttää myös taajamien ulkopuolella sekä ladata sen nopeasti matkan varrella, toteaa ABC-ketjupäällikkö Mikko Malmberg Turun Osuuskaupasta.

-Haluamme olla edelläkävijä näidenkin palvelujen toteutuksessa ja tarjota myös tätä energiamuotoa polttoainetarjonnan yhteydessä, Malmberg jatkaa.

ABC, Fortum ja Nissan tuovat yhteistyössä pikalatauspisteitä ABC-asemille ympäri Etelä-Suomea. Pisteitä on jo 13, ja kesän aikana avataan vielä 2 uutta pistettä.

Autonvalmistaja Nissan, energiayhtiö Fortum ja ABC-ketju ovat solmineet yhteistyösopimuksen, jonka tarkoituksena on luoda Suomen valtaväylien varrelle pikalatauspisteiden verkosto, joka osaltaan mahdollistaa sähköautoilla liikkumisen.

Hankkeella on myös pohjoismainen ulottuvuus, sillä Nissanin ja Fortumin yhteistyö toteutuu myös lahden toisella puolella ja yhdistää pohjoismaiset pääkaupungit pikalatausverkostolla aina Kööpenhaminaa ja Osloa myöten. Norja onkin yksi sähköautoilun edelläkävijämaita, jonka teillä rullaa jo yli 35 000 sähköautoa. Suomessa ollaan vielä takamatkalla noin 500 täyssähköautolla ja ladattavalla hybridillä.
Tekniset tiedot:

Nyt avattavissa pikalatureissa maksimi teho on 50kW sekä niissä on kaksi tasasähköistä pikalatausvaihtoehtoa. Laturilla voi pikaladata sekä CHAdeMO- (esim. Nissan, Mitsubishi), että CCS-standardin (esim. BMW, VW) mukaisia ajoneuvoja. Pikalataus palvelee parhaiten sähköautoilijoita valtaväylien varrella, jolloin sähköautolla voidaan tehdä pidempiäkin matkoja. Pikalataus kestää noin 30 minuuttia. Tuona aikana saadaan ladattua 80 prosenttia akkujen varauskapasiteetista.

Sähköautokannan kasvu edellyttää riittävää infrastruktuuria latauspaikkojen muodossa. Perusvirta saadaan yleensä yön aikana niin sanotulla hitaalla latauksella, 2-3 kW teholla auton ollessa parkissa. Tätä tehokkaampi on parin tunnin ja runsaan 20 kW asiointilataus, jota tarjotaan kauppojen, ostoskeskusten ja työpaikkojen pysäköintihallien yhteydessä. Pikalataus taas on teholtaan 50 kW ja se palvelee parhaiten valtaväylien varrella, jotta sähköautolla voidaan tehdä pidempiäkin matkoja. Pikalatauksessa saadaan puolessa tunnissa noin 80 prosenttia sähköauton akkujen varauskapasiteetistä täyteen. Se antaa nykytekniikalla autolle noin 100 kilometrin toimintasäteen.

The MSRP for the installation kit (which includes brackets and other minor parts required to retrofit the newer pack to original vehicles) is approximately $225. Nissan expects the installation to take about three hours.
*These replacement batteries are the same battery found in 2015 LEAF vehicles, which are also on sale now at Nissan dealers. As a replacement, this battery is expected to provide similar range and charging characteristics as the battery offered since the launch of the LEAF in 2010. Changes in battery chemistry, however, have been made in an effort to make the battery more durable in extremely hot climates.
*Replacement packs will carry similar warranty coverage as a new LEAF: 8 years/100,000 miles against defects and 5 years/60,000 miles against capacity loss.

I went with the e-Golf 155 km from the nearest fast charging, economical and fully staffed (3 adults and 2 children including pastry), in eco + mode on the last Sunday at 25 degrees and then still existing residual range of 46 km ! 80% highway and 20% highway, in the highlands of Thuringia, Vogtland and Franks, at -200km. After loading it went with about 80% Akukapazität relaxing in countryside still 164 km to Marktheidenfeld. The Golf Drives loose 160 km! And Economical flat land over 200 km!
With the E-up I've done only 163 km at best, and with the BMW only 188 km. With the Nissan (2 years old) is only about 150 km away.

Ja, Reichweite. Ich bin mit dem e-Golf 155 km bis zum nächsten Schnell-Laden, sparsam und voll besetzt (3 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder inkl. Gebäck), im eco+ Modus am letzten Sonntag bei 25 Grad und einer dann noch vorhandenen Restreichweite von 46 km gefahren! 80 % Autobahn und 20 % Landstraße, im Mittelgebirge Thüringen, Vogtland und Franken, bei -200 km. Nach dem Laden ging es mit ca. 80 % Akukapazität entspannt im flachen Land noch 164 km nach Marktheidenfeld . Der Golf fährt locker 160 km! Und Sparsam im Flachland über 200 km!
Mit dem E-up hab ich im besten Fall nur 163 km geschafft und mit dem BMW nur 188 km. Mit dem Nissan (2 Jahre alt) nur ca. 150 km.
Noch was, der e-up und der e-Golf beschleunigen bis 120 km/h aus allen lagen herraus exakt gleich schnell! Die Prospekt angaben kann man voll vergessen.
Leute, fahrt zur Probe was das Zeug hält. Den Golf kann man nun endlich überall in D mal Probefahren ein, zwei Tage.
